INFORMATION NOTICE :

 AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) TESTING ....

The HABC have been hosting the AKC CGC testing at the

weekend Summer show for the past few years....

Unfortunately we are unable to provide

AKC Canine Good Citizen testing at our future shows.

The AKC  (American Kennel Club) have announced that

they are no longer providing testing outside of the USA.
 

A total of 52 American Bulldogs & their owners in the UK passed and

achieved this award over the four years it was available here.

This was a great step forward in the right direction for the breed,
in demonstrating that American Bulldogs
should & can have a good temperament and
 their owners should & can be responsible dog owners.

The HABC would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who
participated in this scheme and contributed to supporting and

promoting responsible dog ownership within the breed.

We are now currently looking into credible alternative
schemes / testing for dogs and owners in this breed
to participate in at future events.

*1st JULY 2008 - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Revision / Changes to ABNA points system
Re: 1(b) championship requirements 1st July2008

- With immediate effect the ABNA will no longer accept points for transfer (re: the "Championship requirements" 1(b) ) from other registries events/shows held after the 1st July 2008.
- The ABNA will continue to accept requests until the 31st December 2008 to transfer points (re: the "Championship requirements" 1(b) ) from those events/shows which were held before the 1st July 2008
- After the 31st December 2008, 1(b) re points transfers in the championship requirements will No longer be available as an option in the ABNA points system.

Please ensure that any request to transfer points earned from other accepted registries events / shows (RE: Championship Requirements 1(b)) which were held before July 1st 2008 are submitted before 31st Dec 2008.
After this date no more points transfer requests will be accepted, and the points transfer option (1b) will be removed from the ABNA points system Championship requirements.

HABC Spring Show - Sunday 27^th April 2008

The HABC AUTUMN AMERICAN BULLDOG SHOW.

Is now confirmed for Sunday 9th September 2007....

the date has been brought forward to what was previously advertised as the venue was not available for that date.

This is a one day ABNA conformation show

with Tug O War comp and Sprint Race in the morning

ABNA Conformation show in the afternoon...

and time allowing some dogs being worked late afternoon…
For those travelling far…

We hope to have camping and a little social get together

for the Saturday night (limited numbers) ….
BUT anyone wishing to camp MUST get in touch before hand

 as the venue require the numbers before hand…..

(we had a couple of people turn up to camp at the weekend

show that hadn’t let us know before hand, although we could accommodate them that time, we wont be able to this time…. so please email info@americanbulldogs.org.uk ).
The hotel & hostel are also available at the same cost as before.

Due to a number of factors The HABC will NOT be hosting a Working American Bulldog  Association (WABA) Event at this years (2007) summer weekend show...

All other sanctioned events are due to take place as planned.

The HABC will  be hosting a WABA event at

next years (2008) Summer Weekend Show.
